Use Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Surface Conditioning Disc for a range of tasks including blending, deburring, and finishing. Our non-woven discs use fast cutting aluminium oxide mineral abrasive, and are made of a fibre that conforms well to help preserve irregular or contoured surfaces, combined with efficient 3M™ Roloc™ quick-change attachment system, to support the disc during aggressive cutting and offers quick and easy change outs. The open-web fibre of the discs runs cool and resists loading while reducing the risk of part discolouration and warping. The aluminium oxide abrasives cut fast and give consistent finishing. Tough and durable, aluminium oxide abrasive continually self-fractures during use, to expose fresh cutting edges. By comparison, traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention makes aluminium oxide mineral a popular choice for grinding, sanding and finishing applications. It’s suitable for use on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products feature abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibres. Combining abrasives with the fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results for the life of the product. The fibres are load resistant and keep the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the fibres, which also extends the life of the disc. 3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR disc pad* for convenient change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on action. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. *Sold separately
